Gloria Ann Watson was born January 7, 1953, and departed this life Friday, July 18, 2025, reaching the age of 72 years. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Jessie (Roberts) Wilson.
She is survived by: her husband, Boyd "Curly" Watson; one daughter, Nicole "Nikki" Lewis; six grandchildren, Whitney Allen (Isaac), Jessica Maybrier (Jakob), Victoria New (Adam), Phoebe Dean, Addelyn Dean, and Jocelyn Dean; and four great grandchildren, Jetsen Maybrier, Jaxtyn Maybrier, Jaklyn Maybrier, and Elijah Allen. She is also survived by: two brothers, Jack Wilson and David Wilson (Stephanie); and two sisters, Irene Turner and Mary Bell; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Woodrow and Jessie Wilson, she was preceded in death by: one son, Danny Jansen Dean; and one sister, Pauline McCartney.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
