Gloria Eileen Yoder, 78, passed away Friday October 3, 2025, with family and friends by her side.

Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Monday October 13th at the Mt Hope Event Center with Pastors Steve Smith and Ken Curren officiating. Gloria will be laid to rest alongside Eli at the Cemetery at Yoder's Amish Home overlooking the family farm. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday October 12th at the Mt Hope Event Center.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Rainbow of Hope Foundation which was very special to both Gloria and Eli. It helps children under the age of eighteen with Medical Expenses in a four-county area.

Gloria was born May 29, 1947, in Millersburg to Lawrence "John" and Esther Mae (Arnold) McClure. She had three siblings Earl & Vera McClure, Merle & Marlyn McClure and Karl McClure all of whom preceded her in death. Gloria married Eli Yoder Jr. on June 8, 1968, in the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church where she was a lifelong member. They celebrated 53 years of adventure together until his passing on July 29, 2021.

Gloria's humble beginnings were in Mt Hope where she attended grade school and later graduated from Hiland High School in 1965. She was widely known for her community spirit and generous heart. Gloria and Eli's community involvement went all the way back 50 years to the Walnut Creek Bicentennial and Memorial Day Events, Pioneer Days and Chili suppers at Berlin Elementary, continuing to the Rainbow of Hope, her most recent passion which she helped for 15 years. Gloria and Eli spent all their lives working in their businesses Yoder's Amish Home which they started in 1983 and then in 1993 land was purchased in Mt Hope and Mrs. Yoders Kitchen, her dream became a reality. She also operated the Mt Hope Auction Barn restaurant, where she considered everyone family.

Gloria's passions included people, cooking, canning and flowers. She loved Hiland Basketball and was a lifelong supporter of Holmes County 4-H beginning with her Blue Ribbons in 1962, she was a 4-H advisor in Walnut Creek and Berlin for many years, she spent many years supporting the youth of Holmes County 4-H.

Surviving is one son Trent E. (Michelle) Yoder of Walnut Creek and two wonderful joys, her grandchildren Reno Grayson Yoder and Joplin LaNell Yoder, she enjoyed being part of their lives and supporting them in all their activities. Also surviving is her lifelong high school friend Sandra Hofstetter (Wes), they have been inseparable for over 60 years.
