Glory Francis Oliekayo, of
Spokane, Washington, entered into rest on March 25, 2026, at the age of 57. Glory was born to Anaeli Marco Akyoo and Eliakesia Menyika Isangya on May 24, 1968, in Arusha, Tanzania.
Glory attended high school from 1984-1988 and earned her diploma in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. She married Francis Ole Ikayo in a traditional ceremony on February 5, 1990, and then they married civilly on July 29, 2006, in Longido, Arusha, Tanzania. She worked diligently as a caregiver until she could no longer work due to a chronic illness.
Glory enjoyed cooking, meditation, intercessory prayer, consoling the sick, and helping the sick. During her life she was a member of Assemblies of God Church and Pentecostal churches in Tanzania. While living in Pullman, Washington, Glory was a member of Favour Church International.
Glory is survived by her husband, Francis Ndipapa Ole Ikayo; son, Fredrick Francis Ole Ikayo; daughters, Naserian Francis Ole Ikayo and Norah Francis Ikayo; brothers, Elirehema Anaeli Akyoo, Naiman Anaeli Akyoo, Elisante Anaeli Akyoo, Petro Anaeli Akyoo, Etro Anaeli Akyoo, Lekumok Ikayo Mbai; sisters, Gladness Anaeli Ackyoo, Christina Anaeli Akyoo, Victoria Marko Moshuwa, and Helen Anaeli Akyoo; and three grandchildren, Duane Francis Ole Ikayo, Abigael Francis Ole Ikayo, and Kenrick Francis Ole Ikayo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Anaeli Marko Akyoo; mother, Eliakesia Menyika Isangya; brother, Enock Anaeli Akyoo; grandfather, Marko Nekisa Akyoo; and grandmother, Elizabeth Mark Akyoo.
Funeral services are tentatively planned for Wednesday-Thursday, April 22-23, 2026, pending confirmation. Times of the services will be announced once confirmed. They will be held at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N. Pines Rd,
Spokane Valley, Washington. Glory will be laid to rest in
Spokane Valley, Washington.
