Gomer G. "Buzz" Smith III

Gomer G. Smith, III "Buzz" was born March 17, 1949, in Oklahoma City to parents Gomer G. Smith, Jr and Betty Smith.
Buzz graduated from Harding High School and UCO. His lifelong interest in machinery led him to truck driving and later as a heavy equipment operator for the State of Oklahoma. He retired medically in 1995. Buzz was married to Kathy Muller in 1991. While having no children of his own he had numerous nieces and nephews who fondly remember him as "Uncle Buzzy". He was always ready for Holidays, family parties and trips to the lake. Buzz was a kind man with a ready smile, and he loved everybody.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, sister Carol Murdock and husband Dan, Brothers in law, Dan Muller and Susan, Mike Muller and Kim, and sister-in-law Mary Whitmarsh and Jeff along with his many nieces, nephews, cousins and his faithful canine companion Sam.
He was proceded in death by his parents and two special nephews Timothy and David Clark.
Buzz was a longtime friend of Bill W and enjoyed the many friends he had there. He was very much loved, and we will all miss him.
