Gordon Brian Cox, 56, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Salem, Arkansas. He was born on July 15, 1969, in Marianna, Arkansas.
Brian worked as a real estate agent and attended the Assembly of God Church. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating, and fishing. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, he also loved time with his children and family. Brian loved living in both the Ozarks and Memphis and carried fond memories of both places. He shared a special bond with his late sister, Deanna Mitchell, whose memory he always held close.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Philomena Cox, and his sister, Deanna Mitchell. Survivors include his son, Nikolas Minard of Mountain Home, Arkansas; his daughter, Brianna Cox of Flippin, Arkansas; his father, Gordon Cox of Bull Shoals, Arkansas; his brothers, Chris Wilkerson of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Jeremy Wilkerson of Gulfport, Mississippi; along with many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Flippin Cemetery in Flippin, Arkansas, with Pastor Davis Morrow officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
Brian will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love for family, and the joy he brought to those who knew him.
