GORDON DALE DURHAM
Gordon Dale Durham, 74, of Clark, MO passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Boone Hospital Center surrounded by his family. He was born September 29, 1950, in Kirksville, MO the son of the late Manford and Mary (Patterson) Durham. On June 14, 1980, he was united in marriage to Janie (Drennan) Durham.
In addition to his wife Janie of 44 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters Tammy Hopp and her husband Faren of Hamilton, IL and Cynthia Hager and her husband Ronnie of Mexico, MO; one son Andrew Durham of Independence, MO; two sisters Jan Fry and Jeanne Mitchell; one aunt Becky Summers; nine grandchildren Anthony Hopp and his wife Chelsea, Cecillie Vinson and her husband Chris, Katrina Scott, Gavin Hopp and his wife Riley, Alexis Kelm, Carter Jerichow, Adrianna Durham, Camron Hager, Decklin Durham; ten great grandchildren; other relatives and many dear friends.
In addition to his parents, three sisters Debbie Durham, Judy Conger and Joyce Durham, two brothers Robert Durham and David Durham preceded him in death.
Gordon attended schools in New London and Winfield / Mt. Union, Iowa. He worked various jobs since the 1960’s, including CO-OP Fertilizer Plant in Donnellson, IA, EADS in Moberly, MO and Diversified Plastics in Centralia, MO. He retired from Orscheln Farm and Home in 2011. Gordon loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed coffee, slot machines, lottery tickets, the St. Louis Cardinals, listening to music, driving, and spending time outside.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Clark, MO. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until service time on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO, Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund, or to Caring Hearts and Hands, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240. Condolences may also be made to the family at www.oliverfuneralhome.net
