Gordon Flynn

Gordon Flynn, 73, husband of Myrtle Mahaffey Flynn, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born November 20, 1950 in Shelby, NC., he was a son of the late Ezor Janning Flynn and Laura Omega Dennis Flynn. He served our country in the U.S. National Guard and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter, Hollie Flynn and Fiancée Stephen Barrett of Spartanburg; son, Michael Flynn and wife Thelma of Boiling Springs; brother, Ray Flynn of Hover, Alabama; grandchildren, Brianna Flynn and Fiancée Michael
Johnson, Emma Flynn, Conner Flynn, Omega O’Neal, Camella O’Neal, Quinten O’Neal and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Roy Flynn.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 at Fairview Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the church with Dr. David Lancaster officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Men’s Ministry at Fairview Baptist Church, 1551 Bryant Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
