Gordon William Henry Buzza, Jr Jr

Gordon William Henry Buzza, Jr. (79) of Presque Isle, Maine went home to the Lord on July 22, 2025. Gordon was born on April 15, 1946 to Rev. Gordon William Henry and Kathleen (Martin) Buzza in Sanford, Maine. He graduated from Houlton High School in 1965 and attended Husson College where he earned his BS in Accounting in 1969. At college he met the love of his life, Charlene Kenney and they had been happily married for 56 years. The couple moved to Presque Isle in 1969 and Gordon was employed in Northern National Bank's Trust Department. Over Gordon's career, the bank went through different ownerships and he retired from the banking industry.

Gordon was an active member of the Grant Memorial United Methodist Church for over 50 years where he served on many committees. He was involved in various Masonic bodies and was a Past Master of the Trinity Lodge in Presque Isle, Past Patron of Lunar Chapter OES and a York Rite member of the Anah Temple Shrine. One of his favorite activities with the Shrine was running the spotlight for the circus. Gordon was active with his two sons in Boy Scout Troop 171 and with his daughter in Girl Scouting. He was awarded Scouting's Silver Beaver award in recognition for his volunteerism.

Gordon loved trains, having an extensive collection in his home and most family trips centered around trains. His favorite tradition was displaying his handmade Christmas lawn scenes, which generations of Presque Isle citizens have enjoyed.

Gordon is survived by a sister Cynthia Kennedy of Erie, PA, his wife Charlene, two sons William Buzza and spouse Beth LaBrie of Auburn, Aaron and spouse Jennifer Buzza of Mapleton, and daughter Linette and spouse Dan Casey of Winslow, six grandchildren: Patrick, Reid and Madelyn Buzza, Sapphira and Gavin Murphy and Brian Casey.

The funeral will be held at Grant Memorial UMC in Presque Isle on August 9, 2025 with calling hours at 2:00pm, the service at 3:00pm, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grant Memorial UMC PO Box 992 Presque Isle, ME 04769 or the GIFT Food Bank 11 Industrial Street, Presque Isle, ME 04769. A graveside service will take place in Brownville Junction for the family at a later date.

The family would like to thank the Presque Isle Fire Department, staff at Northern Light A.R. Gould hospital, the Aroostook House of Comfort, the Valley Home Health Services and the Aroostook Agency on Aging.
