Gordon Charles Jagusch was born April 3, 1943 in Cleveland Ohio. He passed away in his sleep at Kemper House Strongsville February 20, 2024. He was married for 56 years to Dolores (nee Stibrick). He was preceded in death by His father and mother Wilmer and Emma (Andexler) Jagusch, brother Wilmer Jr, and sister, Janet Brisky.
Loving father of Michael (Kimberly), Jonathan (Diane), and Heidi Grabow (Ryan). Loving grandfather of Isabella, Emily, Stephan (Sarah), Charles, Philip and Grayson. Great-grandfather of Evelyn, Heidi and Lydia, and brother in law to Rosemary Stibrick, the late John Stibrick, and the late Russell Brisky. Uncle and Friend to many.
Gordon dedicated his life to Jesus by serving in many roles: Choir, Elder, Usher, Bell choir, church Vice President, President, board member, School Board Chairman, Sunday school teacher, all at St John Nottingham Lutheran Church.
He graduated from Lutheran HS West in 1961 and earned a Bachelors degree from Fenn College / Cleveland State University in 1968. Gordon worked 36 years as a System Analyst / Programmer for the Eaton Corporation Telecomputer center. Over his career he helped Eaton Corp transition from main frame computers all the way to Laptops, modifying accounting and operational software. Taking part in bowling and golf teams while still employed he volunteered with retired coworkers(Rev"ed up) afterwards on various projects.
He and Dolores enjoyed traveling and camping, visiting most of the USA, but especially here in Ohio. Lakeside, Ohio was a favorite spot, camping there for over 30 years with family and friends. They also toured Europe visiting many historic sites.
Gordon was always kind and loved visiting with people. From family to coworkers to friends and neighbors, everyone who spent time with him would say he was kind and friendly.
A celebration of life service will take place at 11am on Monday Feb 26. St. John Nottingham Lutheran Church, 17403 Nottingham Rd., Cleveland, OH 44119 Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held Sunday 3pm to 6pm at Berry-McGreevey-Martens Funeral Home 26691 Detroit Rd. Westlake. And also Monday 10am to 11am at the church.
