Gordon Romaine Munson

Gordon Romaine Munson, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025 at the age of 91. Gordon was born on June 17, 1934 in Woodhull, NY, the 10th child of Clair Devillo Munson and Angeline (Leach) Munson. While playing basketball at the age of 14, Gordon met the new Lutheran pastor who invited him to attend church services. Gordon has been a good and faithful servant to our Lord Jesus Christ ever since. After taking a job with General Electric, Gordon met Margaret "Peg" Dallmeyer, the love of his life. After three long months of dating, they married on February 12, 1955. Moving to Florida in 1958, Gordon began working for IBM. Beginning as a Customer Service Representative, he worked his way up to Director of Research and Development. After 25 years he retired from IBM. Gordon took a job with Compaq Computers in Houston, Texas as Vice President of Service. In 1990, he and Peg began enjoying many years of traveling around the US in their RV visiting family and friends along with many beautiful golf courses.

Gordon received his Associate of Arts degree from Pace College in 1970 and graduated Magna cum Laude from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1974.

Gordon is survived by his wife Margaret "Peg" Munson, daughter Debi (Tom) Krueger, son David (Patti) Munson, daughter Beth (Greg) Crutcher and daughter Becky Reyes, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Gordon was predeceased by his daughter Donna Nelson and his son-in-law Mario Reyes.
