It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Ray Smith, 73 born January 6, 1952, in Brinkley Arkansas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends in Mayville North Dakota on July 8, 2025.
Gordon has a personality led with humor always looking for an opportunity to make his kids and grandchildren laugh even in worse situations. Even though he wasn’t big on words you could always tell that he loved each and every one of his children. His favorite thing to tell us was I know nothing about nothing but when you really needed to know something he had all the answers.
Gordon enjoyed the outdoors fishing, hunting and wood cutting, he and his family enjoyed occasional camping and swimming. He liked to update homes he lived in and build sheds and other things as a hobby. Gordon worked as a resaw at the mill and on a local ranch in Ca, he will be missed and loved but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Susan Smith and their children, Sabrina, Susie, BillyJoe (Caroline), Danielle, Danny, Raegan and Morgan (Allen). Gordon has many grandchildren, Nathaniel, Dan, Chante, Paige, Robby, Tyler, Kaydance, Junior, Hanna, Payden, Christopher, Emma, Jolissa, Cameron, Tapanga, Faith, Henry, Michael, Patience, Grayson, Noah, Anevaeh and Liam.
