Mr. Gordon L. Whitlock

Mr. Gordon L. Whitlock, age 91, of Commerce, GA went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, November 22, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. He was the son of the late Floyd and Clara Mae Whitlock. Mr. Whitlock was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Gordon retired from Westinghouse and ABB after 34 years. His favorite enjoyment was flying his airplane. In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitlock was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Glenn; sisters, Ethel Rylee and Rachael Murphy; and brothers, Swayne Whitlock and Benson Whitlock.
Mr. Whitlock is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nancy H. Whitlock; daughter, Kelly Glenn (Brian); grandson, Michael Glenn (Katherine); sister, Mary Johnson; and brother, Roy Whitlock.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Monday, November 25 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Swayne Cochran officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from noon until 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions may be made to a church or charity of one's choice.
