Sanders Funeral Care - KingmanGorman Dean Lightle, age 85 of Kingman, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at home. He was born in Tangier, Indiana on March 8, 1940, to the late Mort Vern & Alma May (Harris) Lightle.
Gorman attended Tangier High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. On March 31, 1979, he married Mickey (Witsman) Lightle, who preceded him in death on May 31, 2020. Gorman was a plumber belonging to the Local 157 Plumber and Steamfitters, for over 40 years. He enjoyed boating, riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting mushrooms, game hunting, tending bar at the Legion, hanging out with his buddies and drinking beer. He was a member of the Kingman American Legion 384, NRA, and Local 157.
He is survived by three daughters, Julia (Stan Ochs) Randolph of Tuscola, Illinois, Penny (Morris) Walton of Talbott, Tennessee, and Della (Brian) Ogden of Pendleton, Indiana; four grandchildren, Melissa (Bill) Lawlyes, Morgan (Darren) Fox, Christina Ogden, and Daniel (Dusti) Ogden; four great grandchildren, Jacob Fry, Caleb Loseke and Cooper & Heston Lawlyes; and a nephew, Curtis (Brittany) Lightle; and a niece, Angela Lightle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mickey (Witsman) Lightle; and an older brother, Garold Eugene Lightle.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at the Kingman American Legion, 251 W State Street, in Kingman on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 1:00pm until the time of Memorial Service at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to the Kingman American Legion Scholarship Fund, PO Box 443, Kingman, IN 47952. Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care.
