Grace H. Bail, age 84, of Hillsdale, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, at her home. She was born on December 17, 1940, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Edgar and Mary (Hillegass) Guth. She married David Bail on August 18, 1961, and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1978.
Grace graduated from Allentown High School and went on to attend Gods Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio, before obtaining her LPN certification from Jackson Community College in 1984. She worked in healthcare at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility for 27 years after getting her certification at the age of 43. Grace enjoys quilting, knitting, gardening, sewing and baking cakes for weddings and other events.
Grace is survived by three children, Timothy Bail, Mary Beth (Dave) Misiak, and Sarah (Matthew) Weaver; eleven grandchildren, Adam Bail, Andrew Bail, Caris (Aiden) Sefcovic, Isaiah Bail, Rowan Bail, Andrea (Jacob) Mitchell, Jenna Meholick, Ryan Meholick, AnnaGrace (Sam Warren) Weaver, Bethanie Weaver, and Jeremiah Weaver; four great-grandchildren, Quinlan Sefcovic, Quinn Mitchell, Logan Tiezzi, and Gwendolyn Grace Tiezzi; three nieces, Connie Myres, Becky Bail and Lisa Bail; a son-in-law, John Meholick; a sister-in-law, Jean Bailis; and some lifelong friends, Sonny and Margaret Martines.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Rachel Meholick; and nine siblings, Anna Dreher, Marie Heinbach, Naomi Young, Charles Guth, Norman Harry, Raymond Harry, Victor Harry, Claude Harry, and Clarance Harry.
A funeral service for Grace Bail will take place on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Bird Lake Wesleyan Missionary Church in Osseo with Pastor Chad Winter officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bird Lake Wesleyan Missionary Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
