Grace Bolin, 97, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 11, 1927, Grace lived a life marked by devotion-to her family, her faith, and her community. She married the love of her life, Evert Bolin, on New Year's Day 1946. They began their life together by attending the Cotton Bowl game that very day, a fitting start to a life full of joy, tradition, and togetherness.
Grace retired as Vice President from the First National Bank of Lewisville, where she was not only a dedicated professional but a mentor to many young people beginning their careers in banking. Her commitment to service extended far beyond her professional life. She served as Treasurer for every organization she joined and was a longtime Election Chairperson for Lewisville. She also contributed her time to the city's Planning and Zoning Committee, the PTA (where she served as President), and was a devoted Room Mom to the Baby Boomer kids.
A lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Lewisville, Grace sang in the choir and was an active part of the "Willing Workers" Sunday School Class. Even into her 90s, she remained engaged as a member of the "Old Hall" Cemetery Committee.
Grace was a talented seamstress, sewing wedding dresses for her daughter Jackie and later her daughter-in-law Denise. She lovingly created uniforms for drill team members, mascots, and drum majors-infusing each stitch with care and tradition. She was also a fierce sports lover, playing volleyball as a young woman and bowling well into her late 80s. Her home was always filled with the sound of a baseball game-whether it was on TV or being played by one of her beloved grandchildren or great-grandchildren.
Grace is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Evert Bolin; her siblings Roy Jim Stockard, Annetta Painter, and Joyce Stewart; and many cherished in-laws. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandson Emett Bolin. She is survived by her children Jackie and Tom; grandchildren Anita, Janna, and Elizabeth; and great-grandchildren John Michael, Joshua, and Jackson. She is also remembered lovingly by her extended family, including sister-in-law Joyce Stockard, the last remaining family member from the "Greatest Generation".
Family was the center of Grace's world. Every Sunday, she hosted "Family Sunday" lunches, a tradition that brought generations together. After the meal, the men would gather for a game of dominos-Roy Jim, Tom, John, and Evert laughing and competing around the table, creating memories that will last forever.
Grace Bolin leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, service, and community. She taught by example, lived with integrity, and gave generously of her time and talents. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Grace's son in law Tom grew up next door to my parents. Mr. And Mrs. Waldrip . I remember getting so excited when the girls Anita and Janna would come over. We played together. I remember my parents speaking fondly of The Bolin family.
Condolences to all of her family.
