Grace J. Clark, 91, of Wausau, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024.
She was born on August 18, 1932, on the family farm in Stettin, to the late Arnold and Mabelle Goetsch. Grace attended a one room school house for 8 years; she graduated from Wausau High School in 1949. At the age of 17, she left for St. Paul. Grace graduated as an RN from Ancker Hospital in St. Paul, MN, in 1952. Since then, Grace was registered as an RN in six different states. In 2017, Grace moved back to Wausau. She enjoyed traveling with Dick in their Airstream, as well as going on tours, and cruises with her friend Mary Alice.
Grace’s biggest accomplishment however, was the birth and rearing of her two incredible sons and 50 years of marriage to her husband, Dick Clark.
Grace is survived by her children, Robert (Kathi) Clark, and Barry (Rochelle, "Shelly") Clark; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Richard) Wick, and Yvonne (Herbert) Meshun; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Arnold Goetsch; mother, Mabelle Smith; husband, Richard Clark; and sister, Doyonis (Robert) Egan.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am, on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Helke Funeral Home in Wausau, Wisconsin. A visitation will run from 10:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Maple Grove Cemetery.
