Grace Roseanne "Bea" Corn, previously known as Wilber, age 88, of Keshena passed away peacefully at home on Sunday June 8, 2025, surrounded by her family. Bea was born on October 8, 1936, in Keshena to the late James and Marie (Waukechon) Frechette, Sr. She lived in Keshena all her life and graduated from Shawano High School in 1955. "Miss Bea" worked for 34 years in public transportation. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, playing pool and always had time for a round of golf; she never let her kids beat her and was Pine Hills Ladies Club Champion many times. Bea always loved to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's games and performances. Mom loved to dance the jitter bug and was also a jigging champion. On December 29, 2017, Bea was united in marriage to the love of her life, David Corn, Sr., who preceded her in 2018. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Bea is survived by her children, Bruce (Shannon) Wilber, Jr., Anthony "Tony" (Vicky) Wilber, Sr., Bryan (Mary) Wilber, Deborah (Thomas) Boelter, Dawn M. Wilber, Michael (Sheila) Wilber and Candace (Greg) Waupekenay; special daughter-in-law, Jill Pansier; grandchildren, David Wynos, Tawny (Eric) Wilber, Jeri Wilber, Darcie (Bobby) Reiter, Bruce (Staci) Wilber, III, Margaret (Kosta) Wynos, BreAnn Schultz, Diana (Cody) Vigue, Marcus (Stephanie) Wilber, Bernard Wilber, Alexis (Jason) Mikowski, Kaitlyn (Pedro) Boelter, Delaney (Jack) Reinke, Ciara Powless, Waylon Corn, Robert Zhuckkahosee and Swede Corn; great-grandchildren; siblings, Jean Besaw, Karen (Greg) Pecore and Nonie (Marilyn) Dess; Carla Wilber, Roger (Pat) Corn, LeeAnn Corn, Carrie (Leon) Skenandore, Ron (Deb) Corn, Sr., Olga (Alex) Peters, William (Laura) Corn, Sr., Susan (David) Blong and James Corn; sister-in-law, Jean Corn; and godchildren, Richard Frechette, Robin Penass, Lee Waukechon, Annie Oshkosh and Tracey Fowler. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bea is preceded in death by her husband, David Corn, Sr.; son, David Corn, Jr.; five grandchildren, Anthony "Tim" Wilber, Jr., Nikki Wynos, BradLee Wilber, Nathen Wynos, Wayne Wynos, Jr.; one great-grandchild, Holden Vigue; parents, James and Marie; in-laws, Arnold and Joyce Corn, Sr.; siblings, Marie "Betty" (George) Bowan, Alice "Bunny" (Al) Lyons, Marguerite "Sonnygirl" (Al) LaRock, James "Jim" (Joan) Frechette, Jr., Vivian "Tootles" Frechette, Lawrence (Carol) Frechette, Ronald "Ji" Frechette and Bernard "Tony" Frechette; brothers-in-law, Erwin "Onie" Besaw, Arnold Corn, Jr. and Franklin Wilber; sister-in-law, Rhonda Corn; and godchild, Katie Waupoose.
Funeral mass for Bea will be held at 11:00 am on Friday June 13, 2025, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at the David Barrett Hall starting on Wednesday June 11, 2025, from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Friday with a prayer service on Thursday June 12, 2025, 7:00 pm.
