Grace A. Dolvin, 92, of Massillon, went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 7, 2023. Grace was born on May 17, 1931 in Hopedale, Ohio the daughter of the late Harley and Irene McAfee. Grace was a faithful member of the Massillon Baptist Temple were she faithfully served along side her husband, Dr. Jay Dolvin. Additionally she worked for the Massillon Christian School in the cafeteria for many years. She spent her days in dutiful service to her beloved husband, family and church community.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jay Dolvin with whom she shared 65 years of marriage; foster son, Brian Stewart; grandson, Trevor Hutton; and numerous siblings.
She is survived by her children, Daniel (Jodi) Dolvin, and Marilyn Hutton, Robert Hutton; grandchildren, Dr. Steven (Kourtney) Dolvin, Trisha (Brad) Carpenter, Tara Zimmerman, Tiffani (Dom) Martin, and Amberlin Howell; brother, Melvin (Janice) McAfee; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at the Massillon Baptist Temple on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10-11 a.m. In lieu flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Massillon Baptist Temple.
