Sherri L Douglas, age 59 of Massillon passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Sherri was born on October 16, 1963, in Massillon to late Joeseph V. Benish Sr. and Joyce E. (Herron) Benish.
She was the strongest and most caring person to everyone and fought a hard life. Her joys in life were watching movies, playing bingo, shopping, crafts, music, playing the piano when she was younger, spending time with her cat, Stevie, family, and friends. She attended Franklin Elementary and E. A. Jones Junior High School where she helped as a student teacher and then graduated from Massillon Christian School. Sherri worked as a cashier at Food 4 Less, Bordners, and Buehler's Grocery Store all in Massillon. She also worked for Midwest Health in the ICF Homes for a short period of time.
Sherri is survived by her son, Christopher Douglas of Wadsworth, two nephews, Aaron and Brandan Broome all of Massillon, one sister Natasha Broome, several cousins, aunts and uncles, and longtime friends Tim Douglas, & Mykel and Jason Kirby.
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her brother Joseph Victor Benish III.
The family would like to thank a family friend Stephanie Hilliard, Laurels Nursing Home of Massillon, Mercy Home Health Care for taking care of our loved one and showing such love and compassion to her and her friends at The National Church Homes, Mayflower Apartments.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Sons and Daughters of Herman, 1994 Deermont Ave NW, Massillon 44647 on July 28, 2022 from 4pm-8pm.
