Grace Barbara Keip, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Renaissance assisted living with her family by her side. She was born on December 21, 1933, in Wood County Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Erna (Molle) Cline. She married George Keip Jr. on September 6, 1952, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper. George and Grace and their family lived in Wisconsin Rapids for 44 years until moving to Tomahawk in 2003. They moved back to Wisconsin Rapids in 2017. Grace was a graduate of Pittsville High School and Midstate College with a degree in accounting and office management. She was employed by various businesses and was the Wood County Board Chairman's executive secretary for 22 years, retiring in 1997. She also served as secretary on the Wood /County Ethics Committee, Unified Services Board and the Edgewater Haven Board of Trustees.
Grace enjoyed spending time with her husband and children at their cottage in Tomahawk on SoMo Lake. Her love for family was never ending. Family gatherings were special to her. She also enjoyed crafts and sewing, planting flowers and she was fond of interior decorating ideas. Spending time with her grandchildren was her most treasured time. Telling scary bedtime stories, playing games, shopping, among many other fond times.
Grace is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Mike) Williams; son, Greg (Jean) Keip; daughter-in-law Jean Keip-Wurster; grandchildren, Brian (Dee) Keip, Jason Keip, Kimberly (Jeremiah) Kuske, Shelley (Calvin) Turner, Katie (Travis) Glaser; great grandchildren, Hailey Schober, Kristina Keip, Mackenzie Keip, Tanner Keip, Tennlee, Owen, Navvy Glaser and Cash Turner. She is further survived by her sister, Alice (Charles) Pyke and very special nieces Diane (Bruce) Rosenfelder and Carol Keip. A special friend, Ken Islo and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband George; son Garry Keip, her parents, her sisters, Marion (Gene) Czudec, and JoAnn (Roger) Keip; brothers, Frank and Roger Cline; mother and father-in-law George and Hazel Keip.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. inurnment at Port Edwards Municipal Cemetery at a later date.

When I was a little kid I remember going to Aunt Grace´s lake house and falling in love with the nature that surrounded it. I realized how loving and genuine our family is, watching Grandma Joanne and her sister ( Aunt Grace ) reconnect on the bank of the lake.
