It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald J. Doescher Sr., fondly known as Ron, on August 4, 2025. Ronald was a treasured husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many. Born in Junction City, WI, on September 13, 1939, Ronald made the Wisconsin Rapids area his home, where he lived a life filled with joy, love, and cherished memories. Ronald was a man of many talents and interests, but above all else, family was his world. Ronald was a pillar of strength and resilience. He had a successful career as an electrician and heavy equipment operator. He loved the outdoors, and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, especially ice fishing and camping. He was a passionate fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and NASCAR, and he and his beloved wife, Marcia, whom he married on March 17, 1962, attended Country Fest for many years. Ronald had a special fondness for animals, and in his early years, he cared for 17 riding horses and 2 teams of Belgians, Mork and Mindy and Duke and Dolly, he also actively participated in numerous rodeos. Ronald was also a loyal member and custodian at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner. Yet, the biggest joy in Ronald's life was his family. He is survived by his wife Marcia; his children, Stacie Rose (Derrick) Botcher, Ronald James Doescher Jr. and Nicholas Elmer Doescher; his grandchildren, Trevor Scott (Steph) Hendershot, Samantha Rose Hendershot, Ashtyn Jane Doescher and Gage Lucas Doescher; and one special great-granddaughter Marcia Jane Hendershot; brother, LeRoy (Marlene) Doescher, sister-in-law, Joyce Jadack, Delorce Doescher, his brother-in-law, Eddie Junemann, and his granddog Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Rose Doescher; his siblings, Pearl Doescher who died when she was around 2 years old, Violet (Loren) Swanson, Iva (Clarence) Moll, Clayton (Josephine) Doescher, Marlin (Iola) Doescher, Ellard Doescher, Pearl Doescher died when only a few months old, Janet (Ron) Marmsoler, Leonard (Shirley) Doescher, Harold (Donna) Doescher, LaVern (Betty) Doescher, Charles Doescher, Janice (Bill) Thomas, sister and brother-in-law Frances (Oscar) Weigel Jr., brother and sister-in-law, Elmer (Eleanore Zvolena) Jadack, brother-in-law, Ned Durrant, and sisters-in-law, Paula Wallner, and Shirley Junemann. And by his favorite dogs, Sheba and Gonzo Ronald was thrilled to become a great grandfather, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great granddaughter. His love for them was boundless, and his legacy will live on in their hearts forever. Visitation will be held at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 2201 Chestnut Street, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 9:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.
