Grace Viola Lowry

Grace Viola Lowry passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, in Maryland, at the age of 86.
Born on February 14, 1939, in North Carolina, Grace's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her love for her family, and her passion for embracing every experience with enthusiasm.
She was the devoted wife of William Lowry for more than 30 years and has two daughters - Bonnie and Linda.
As a devout Christian, Grace's faith was the cornerstone of her life. Her smile was a beacon to all who knew her, and she lived her life as an example of her beliefs.
Grace's adventurous nature led her to travel as often as possible. She particularly enjoyed her European river cruises and her time in Western, MD on the Savage River.
A voracious reader, Grace was a regular visitor to the library and always had a large stash of books on hand. She had an equally large stash of 1,000 piece puzzles and worked on them regularly.
Grace's home was always filled with warmth and laughter, particularly when she spent time with her daughters, along with numerous friends and neighbors. Friendships were the fabric of Grace's life, and she cultivated them with the same care and attention she gave to her garden. Her friends were an extension of her family, and the time she spent with them was filled with laughter and camaraderie Her journey on this earth may have come to a close, but the memories she created and the love she shared will remain.
Her memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on January 7th. There will be a visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. with the memorial service and a luncheon immediately following.
