Van Buren--- Grace M. St. Pierre, 75, peacefully passed away January 12, 2023. She was born March 22, 1947 in St. Leonard, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Bernard and Andrina (Bouchard) Byram.
Grace was a gifted cook and graced the priests of the former St. Bruno's Rectory for many years with delightful homecooked meals. She was renowned for her fudge and loved to share all her goodies with her family and friends. A skilled knitter, Grace crafted many mittens, hats and sweaters throughout the years, and all of her family cherish these gifts. Grace was a devoted parishioner of St. Bruno-St. Remi Church and was a longtime member of the Columbiettes.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Harold St. Pierre Sr., of Van Buren; two daughters, Cathy Scheid and her husband Dennis of Phoenix, AZ, and Connie Beaulieu and her husband Craig of Bristol, CT; five siblings, Charles Byram and his wife Julie, Stanly Byram and his wife Line, Luc Byram, Denise Michaud, and Parise Byram; one granddaughter, and the apple of Memere's eye, Kaitlynn; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Marie Mae Beaulieu, Jeanne Corriveau, Jeannie Ouellette, Ken St. Pierre and his wife France, and Peggy St. Pierre; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Grace was predeceased by two sons, Harold Jr. and Paul St. Pierre, and eight siblings, Bernice, Mario, Rina, Francine, Francois, Francoise, Dominique, and Louise, and a brother-in-law, Leo James St. Pierre
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Main St., Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday morning 9 – 9:45 at the church. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
