Grace Pugh Obituary
Grace was born on October 1, 1954, to George and Laverne (Pearson) White in Ft. Scott, KS. She grew up in Stark, KS, until 1964 when her parents moved to Pittsburg, KS, at age 10. She attended Horace Man for 1 year, College High School until her junior year and then graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1972.
She was married to Larry Pugh and they had a son Robert Pugh in 1979. Robert who was the love of her life. Grace worked at Pittsburg State University for 35 years retiring in 2011. She enjoyed going to garage sales, flea markets, and rocking in her chair on her front porch.
She is survived by a son, Robert Pugh of Pittsburg, KS; a sister, Joyce Lee of Kansas City, MO; and a brother, Ed White (Linda) of Cameron, MO; and many nieces and nephews and some very close friends who she loved very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jeanette Carol Moellman.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Deryk Powell officiating. A Visitation will be held on Saturday 1 hour prior to the start of the service at Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg, KS. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS.
