Grace Marie (Tripp) Schroff was born March 12, 1930, and died July 7, 2024, at the age of 94. Grace was born in Houghton, Michigan, the daughter of Fred and Ruth Tripp. She grew up in Petoskey, Michigan with her brother Dan.
Grace graduated from Milwaukee Downer College, before continuing to Kansas University to study physical therapy, where she met her husband Robert W. Schroff. They moved to Springfield, MO in 1955 where Robert became a prominent attorney. As a mother of three boys (Daniel P., Robert W. Jr., and Stephen J. Schroff), Grace spent much of her time doing volunteer work in the Springfield Area. She was a Deacon at First & Calvary and later Trinity Presbyterian churches, was a founding member of both Crosslines community outreach and the Greene County Legal Auxiliary, as well as serving on the Board of the Missouri State Women's Golf Association.
She is survived by her 3 sons, as well as 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be at Trinity Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, July 10th at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in her honor to The Gathering Tree, a Springfield nonprofit serving the chronically homeless that was dear to Grace's heart.

I was so sorry to hear that Grace Schroff passed. I knew her from church at First and Calvary back in the 60s and 70s. And from when her oldest son and I dated. She was a real sweetheart, and hated to hear this. Rest in peace Grace
