William Schroff Obituary

William "Bill" Schroff, a vibrant soul who lived life with unbridled enthusiasm, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on May 31, 1937, Bill was a man who chased adventure, embraced risks, and touched countless lives with his infectious energy and wisdom.

Bill was a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating a thriving commercial painting and sandblasting business, car lot & car wash on the Boulevard.

A natural competitor, Bill proudly played for the Kansas City Chiefs during the 1966-67 season, under legendary coach Hank Stram.

Off the field, Bill's passions knew no bounds. An avid gambler, he was a fixture at the Las Vegas craps tables, where his bold bets and quick wit made him a beloved high-roller. He also excelled on the tennis courts and reveled in the fairways of golf courses, always swinging for the fences with a grin & a laugh.

Bill was everyone's friend-young at heart, full of captivating stories, and generous with his hard-earned wisdom. His laughter filled rooms, and his presence made every gathering unforgettable. He leaves behind a tapestry of memories for family, friends, and all who crossed his path.

A Celebration of Bill's extraordinary life will be held at Hi-Dive Lounge on Sunday, February 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. Come share stories, raise a glass, and honor the man who lived larger than life.

Bill Schroff didn't just live-he rolled the dice and won big every time. Rest easy, Uncle Bill. The table's a little quieter without you.
