Mrs. Grace Chadwick Walker, age 87, of Calhoun, passed away Thursday morning, November 28th, 2024 at Gordon Health and Rehabilitation.
Grace was born September 7, 1937, in Gordon County, the daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude Owens Chadwick. She graduated from Belwood High School and was a charter member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Grace was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved cooking, gardening, and decorating.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Joe Walker, brother and sisters, Myrtle Cooper, Howard Chadwick, and Francis Parker, and three infants.
She is survived by her daughter, Hollie Potts, and her husband Michael, as well as two granddaughters, Olivia Potts and Ashlyn Potts. Brothers and sister, Charley Chadwick and his wife Hilda, Roy Chadwick and his wife Linda, Jerry Chadwick and his wife Carolyn, and Patsy Hughey. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services to Celebrate the Life of Grace Chadwick Walker will be conducted Sunday, December 1st at 3 pm at Philadelphia Baptist Church with Rev. Tim McCulley and Rev. Kyle Coker officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery with Scottie Chadwick, Stacey Hughey, Matthew Hughey, Justin Hughey, Adam Chadwick, Joseph Chadwick, Kevin Parker, and Dave Pass serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 4 until 7 pm at the funeral home.
