Grace Mae Sample Wallace, beloved daughter of the late Lloyd Sample and Mary White, was born on June 30, 1939 in Mappsville, Virginia. On December 29, 2024, she departed this life at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley, Virginia.
Grace was educated in the Accomack County Public Schools. She was united in holy matrimony to Lister Wallace.
Grace was a dedicated wife and homemaker, providing great care for her family. In her spare time, Grace enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and caring for her grandchildren. Grace had a welcoming personality; a contagious smile and her great joy was spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Lister Wallace; two sisters, Sally Ann Rowland and Flora Dickerson; and one brother, Alfred Sample.
Grace leaves to cherish her memories her seven children, Mildred Dickerson, Mary Ann (Calvin) Jones, Norman Wallace, Betty Robinson, Ervin (Faith) Wallace, Sr., Johnny Wallace, and Andrew Wallace; twelve grandchildren, RJ, Michael, Tykeisha, Taron, ShaVonne, William, Myra, Ryan, Katwana, Ervin, Jr., Leon, and Kevin; and a host of great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
