Grace Marjorie Cooper Warehime, 94, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at Collier Hospice in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Born in Dalton City, Illinois, on November 1, 1930, Grace was the youngest of seven children of Rose Ella Dell Asher Cooper and Frankie Morris Cooper.

On July 12, 1952, in Cambridge, Ohio, Grace married the love of her life, Ralph Thompkins Warehime, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Together they shared 24 years of military life, raising their family with courage, love, and resilience.

Linda and Sandra, their twin daughters, were born on March 19, 1953, arriving one month early while Ralph was stationed in England. Grace fiercely protected and cared for her children through those early years while Ralph served overseas. Their son, Daniel, was born on January 7, 1960, while the family was living in the Philippines. Grace loved her children more than life itself and dedicated herself fully to their well-being.

In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Grace worked as a Medical Equipment Technician, where she brought her strong work ethic, determination, and compassion to her role. She took great pride in her work and in helping others through her service.

In her later years, Grace felt deeply loved and supported by "Team Grace." She became a favorite of her caregivers, who admired her spirit, determination, and kindness. Grace cherished the time she spent with her daughter Lin, son-in-law Tom, her beloved niece (and adopted daughter) Jeanne, and many close friends, including Rigo, Frank, Mary, Joanne, and John. Her cat, Callie, was a constant source of joy and comfort-truly "the best cat ever."

Grace lived with strength and determination, overcoming health challenges time and again. Her goal was always to remain independent in her home with Callie, and thanks to the devotion of her family and "Team Grace," she was able to achieve this in the final months of her life. One of her greatest joys in her last month was welcoming her daughter Sandi, who traveled from Florida to spend eight precious days by her side.

She enjoyed painting landscapes, watching Westerns-especially Cheyenne -and living life with resilience and pride. Grace was a mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend who faced challenges head-on and never stopped fighting to be with those she loved.

On September 1, 2025, Grace decided it was time to rest. She entered Collier Hospice at 9:00 p.m., where she was cared for with great compassion and comfort by the incredible staff, and she passed peacefully twenty-four hours later.

Grace is survived by her children: Linda (Tom) Ann Warehime Roelofs, Sandra (Ronnie) Lee Warehime Cunningham, and Daniel Bruce Warehime; her grandchildren: Jeffrey Scott Cunningham and Cassandra Faun Johnson; her great-grandchildren: Sean Edward Cunningham and Allison Marie Cunningham; and her beloved kitty, Cassie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Thompkins Warehime, and her siblings: Mary Ethel Cooper, Charles Lee Cooper, James Robert Cooper, Morris Cooper, Emmett John Cooper, and Wilma Laverne McDonald.

Grace will always be remembered as generous, loving, determined, sincere, strong, amazing, and compassionate-a woman who touched the lives of everyone she met.
