Gracie Delores Ray, age 80, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born May 15, 1943, in Picher, Oklahoma, the daughter of Walter Thomas and Ida Mae (McDonald) Wolfinbarger.
Gracie was a manicurist and a homemaker and a member of the VFW Post 4207 Ladies Auxiliary in Monett, Missouri.
Gracie is survived by three sons, Scott McPheely of Modesto, California, Robbie McPheely and his wife, Darlene, and Todd McPheely, all of Monett, Missouri; six grandchildren, Heather, Brian, Robert, Samantha, Orville and Kyle; eight great grandchildren, Madelyn, Derrick, Nate, Mollie, Kameryn, Korbin, Jack and Opal; one brother, Eddie Franklin, of Modesto, California; three sisters, Patsy Wolfinbarger-Pope, of Claremore, Oklahoma, Debbie Waddell of South Carolina and Trella Franklin of Joplin, Missouri; her ex-husband, Robert Ray and his family of Monett, Missouri, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, Walter, and Ida; her first husband, William Kenneth McPheely and one sister, Armanda McNiel.
A celebration of Gracie's life will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Monett City Park Event Center in Monett, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, Missouri.
