Grady W. Buck, Jr. was born January 7, 1945, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Grady W. Buck, Sr. and Marilyn Pepper Buck. He passed into the arms of Jesus January 22, 2025.
He is survived by wife, Linda, of Weatherford, Texas; daughter, Shelly Smith; granddaughter, Lindsey Cowart; grandson, Dillon Bishop; three great grandchildren; and sister, Janice Cutrer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Buck; and sons, Gregory Wade Buck and Gregory Warren Buck.
Grady married Linda Carol Duke on September 1, 1967, in Fort Worth, Texas. They shared 57 years together.
After graduation from Texas Wesleyan University, he was employed with General Dynamics, Fort Worth plant, as an aircraft weight engineer. Later on, he was hired on with Radio Shack/Tandy Corp in 1971, as one of their first three computer programmers. He retired in 1996 as a Data Processing Manager.
After retirement, he enjoyed golf, bass fishing, and traveling with wife, Linda. His passion, though, was Volunteer Christian Builders. This Christian organization allowed him to serve his Lord, Jesus Christ through volunteering on a crew of builders who traveled and worked on construction of new church buildings throughout the United States. Grady was active in VCB for over 14 years before health issues prevented him from continuing his ministry with VCB.
Grady was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and loyal to his many friends.
