Grady Ricky Heard

Grady "Ricky" Heard, age 72, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. He was preceded in death by father, Edgar Heard; mother, Alice Jeanette Frasier Heard; brothers, George, Keith, and Scotty Heard; former wife, Patricia Byron; and niece, Hannah Vincent. Mr. Heard is survived by son, James Corey Heard of Buford, GA; granddaughter, Addison Dickey; sisters, Belinda Heard of Flowery Branch and Alice Watson of Winder, GA; nieces, Nichol Stone, Ashley Watson, Miranda Stone; nephews, Don Stone and Chasten Lamaster; great nieces, Lyzeasia Watson, Destiny Court, Zeah Stone; great nephews, Caleb Moore, Ryland Stone, Charlie Stone, and Thomas Stone. Mr. Heard was born on May 8, 1953 is Buford, GA and was a veteran of the U S Army. He received his education at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA, and was a retired construction worker. He was of the Baptist faith. The family would like to say a special thanks to Sacred Journey Hospice for their care for Ricky, and also a special heartfelt thanks to his niece Zeah Stone for all the help she provided to Ricky. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Wigley and Pastor Bennie Parker officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 16 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m, again on Sunday, August 17 from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service.
