Grady Doyle Johnson

Mr. Grady Doyle Johnson, age 86, of Roanoke, Alabama, passed away on November 1, 2023. Doyle was born on September 1, 1937 in Roopville, Georgia to the late William Lee Johnson and Ada Maude Quigley Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, William Johnson, Lousie Ayres, Tavie Nunis, Doug Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Pat Wilkes, step-son, William Rodney Adamson and one grandchild. He was a Minister of the Gospel as well as a member of the traveling singing group, The Johnson Family Singers. He worked many years for Davis Pest Control.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Bailey Johnson; sons, Barry Doyle Johnson (Frances) and Grady Brian Johnson; step-children, Melissa Jane Langley, Dennis Wayne Adamson and Dena Adamson (Dane Richardson); brother, Garon Johnson (Joyce); twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand Chapel with Pastor Debbie Kendrick officiating. Private interment services will be held at Restlawn Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 2:00-3:00 pm.
