Grady Stephen "Mack" McRaney
Steve McRaney 75, of Florence, MS passed away Friday April 11, 2025, at his home.
He was born on January 11, 1950, in Hattiesburg, MS to Grady & Bobbie McRaney. He grew up in "South" Jackson and was a graduate of Wingfield H.S. class of "69". He also attended Hinds Community College. He married his high school sweetheart Vickie Daniels McRaney in July 1971.
He was a master plumber and started his own business in 1984, McRaney Plumbing Co. LLC. He later retired in 2017 due to illness. He was a member of Briar Hill Baptist Church in Florence, MS. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed deer and turkey hunting with his longtime friends of Sunrise Hunting Club and Valley Park, he considered them his family also.
He is survived by his mother Bobbie McRaney; his wife Vickie McRaney; his son Daniel McRaney (Rhonda); his daughter Mandie Sullivan (Jamie); his grandson's Blaine McRaney, Garrett Sullivan (Loni), and Connor Sullivan; his granddaughter Kailin McRaney; his sister Jan Shorter (Bubba); his brother-in-law's John & Robert Daniels of Oklahoma. Along with many nephews & nieces.
He is preceded in death by his father Grady Shivers McRaney.

Can't believe another high-school friend has passed. Steve was a sweet, caring and fun person. I dated and married Billy Slaton. Steve was a good of Billy. My marriage with Billy didn't last but we all stayed good friends. Billy has greeted him at heavens gate.
