It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Grant Nozomi Ichida, who departed this life on July 25, 2025 at the age of 89. Grant passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with COPD and lung cancer, surrounded by loved ones.

Grant was born on March 27, 1936, in Los Angeles and throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering positive attitude. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and he will be remembered for his dedication to family and loved ones. His friends meant the world to him.

Grant, like all of us Clevelanders, had a deep connection with all Cleveland sports. He also loved traveling with family to Hilton Head, Maine and, of course, Las Vegas. He loved golfing and the theater. He also was an avid watercolor artist. Many are blessed to have paintings gifted to them, and he also donated those talents to many charities over the years.

He is survived by sons Todd (wife Kelly) and Dustin (wife Holly), and his grandchildren: Cole, Grace, Isabel, Mia and Gavin, as well as many dear friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by wife Betty Ichida.

A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date.

Grant will be dearly missed and forever remembered. His legacy will live on in the lives he enriched, and the memories shared by those closest to him.
