A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 20, at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church. The family will greet friends following the service.
Grazia was born in Carini, Italy, on April 7, 1944, and moved to America in 1973 with her husband, Antonino. They lived in Brooklyn, New York, were they owned and operated the family restaurant. They retired to Greenville, NC, in 2010 to join their children and grandchildren. Grazia loved art, writing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore and Giovanna Amato; siblings, Salvatore Amato, Pietra Di Trapani, and Maria Amato.
Grazia is survived by her husband, Antonino Passalacqua; children, Pietro Passalacqua and wife, Josephine, of Winterville, Salvatore Passalacqua and wife, Claudia, of Winterville, Angelita Mannino and husband, Massimo, of Winterville; grandchildren, Briana, Marco, Luca, Alessio, Antonio, Gabri, and Massimo Filippo; and brother, Pietro Amato.
Arrangements are by Wilkerson Funeral Home & Crematory.
