Greg Brown Obituary

Gregory A. Brown passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the age of 63, at his home in Louisville, Mississippi, with his loving family by his side. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Melvin Mordecai officiating assisted by Paul Pearson. Visitation will be the day of the service from 11 a.m. until service time at Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will immediately follow the service in Antioch Cemetery.

Greg was born March 17, 1962, to Charles L. Brown and Betty Gillis Brown in Lompoc, California. He was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacons, church treasurer, and former Sunday School teacher. Greg earned his business degree from Mississippi State University where he was employed in Manufacturing most of his working career. He retired as Plant Manager of Polo Custom Products in May 2025 after 12 years of service. Greg also retired from the Army Reserve after 25 years of service. He had a love for antique cars and had restored his own 1955 Chevrolet truck.

Greg is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Chancellor Brown of Louisville; his children, Dana Brown Griggs and Dalton of Ridgeland, Mississippi; Kelly Brown Thompson and Jake of Canton, Mississippi; Clay Chancellor and Sara; and Bart Chancellor and Cassi all of Louisville. He was "Pop" to Rosalie and Rhett Griggs and Will, Ava, and Mary Clayton Chancellor. He is also survived by his brother, Charles "Chuck" Brown and Leah of Sturgis, Mississippi; three nieces, Amanda and Parker Jacobs, Laura and Daniel Forde, and Rebecca and Hunter Blain; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved very much. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Betty Brown.

Serving as pallbearers are Dalton Griggs, Jake Thompson, Matt Gillis, Mark Gillis, Daniel Forde, Parker Jacobs, Hunter Blain, and Stan Arrington. The family requests that memorials in honor of Greg be given to Antioch Baptist Church Mission Fund, 960 N. Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS 39339.

Services are under the direction of Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by signing the guest register at www.masseyfuneralhome.net.
