Gregory Adam Gabel, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away on December 25, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on March 20, 1954, Chester County, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Gregory's life was marked by hard work, being outside, dedication to his wife, and love for family and his grandchildren.

Greg had a gentle spirit. His enthusiasm for life was evident in his many interests, from playing 8-man football during his high school years to being a fanatical fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, a team that held a special place in his heart. His favorite college football team was Penn State. Greg was a faithful servant of his church, Watts Chapel in Grandview, Texas.

Greg's journey took a beautiful turn when he met his wife, Nancy Gabel, through a mutual friend while she was working as a school bus driver. Their love story blossomed into a lifetime partnership full of cherished moments and shared dreams. They were married on November 7, 2015, at Watts Chapel, Grandview.

In addition to his passions, Greg served his country honorably, spending two years in the Army and one year in the Navy. This commitment reflected his strong sense of duty and dedication that would carry throughout his life.

Greg's love for the outdoors was unmatched. He found great joy in working outside, particularly while riding his tractor, a source of satisfaction and peace for him. His legacy is also rooted deeply in his devotion to his family. He enjoyed spending quality time with his son Chris and grandchildren, Landon and Kimber, who brought him immense joy and pride.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Wilson Gabel Jr. and Elizabeth Elmia Feick, and his sister, Kimberly Esham.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Gabel; his son, Christopher and wife, Amber; his stepson, James Calvin Denham and wife, Norma; his grandchildren, Landon and Kimber Gabel, four step-grandchildren; fourteen step great-grandchildren; siblings Donald Gabel and wife, Dora; Kathy Scott and husband, Leon; nieces and nephews Matthew Esham, Samantha Stafford, Liana Gabel, and Tony Gabel; and brother-in-law, Bruce Esham (Linda).
