Our father, Greg Gregson, passed away on July 28, 2024, at the age of 82, of causes incident to age. He was born in Cardston, Alberta to Almira Burnham and Percy Clive Gregson on May 8, 1942; the youngest of six children.
Greg was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He spent his early years in Canada, leaving in 1961 to serve in the Great Lakes Mission for the LDS church. He returned home to Canada briefly but left soon after to attend Brigham Young University in Utah, where he settled his final roots.
He married and was blessed with five daughters: Jeanette (Steve) Malone; Julie Cooper; Michelle (Zac) Justice; Lindsey (Justin) Gwilliams, and Ann (Jordan) Austin.
On November 21, 1996 Greg married VeLoy Whiting. They were sealed April 20, 2002 in the Ogden, Utah, LDS temple. They shared many happy years together until her passing in 2017.
Greg was the President of Estate Management & Insurance Services, Inc. - an estate and financial planning firm. He loved his profession and took great pride in his success. He enjoyed the finer things in life - particularly good food and the arts. Opera and Broadway productions were his favorite and he often traveled to see these productions with his wife and children until his illness made it impossible.
Greg will be best remembered for his quick wit, his ready smile, and for having a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He was always up for a good tease and found pleasure in making others laugh; traits that stayed with him until the very end.
A celebration of Greg's life will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 11:00 am at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St., Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
