Greg Minix age 69 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at The Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center, Hazard, Kentucky. Greg was born October 31, 1955 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late R.V. and Melova Minix.
Survived by one son, Greg Denny (Sabrina) Minix of Salyersville, Kentucky, two daughters, Jenny Lynn (Dwayne) Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, Rebecca Ann (Brian) Patrick of Salyersville, Kentucky, four brothers, Gary Minix of Pikeville, Kentucky, Hetsel Minix, Larry Minix, Manuel Minix all of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister, Henrietta (Anthony) Miller of Salyersville, Kentucky, five granddaughters, Hannah Lea Combs, Alyssa Beth Minix, Kaleigh Dawn Minix, Ashlyn Brianna Patrick, Allie Grace Minix, three step-grandchildren, Sarah Prater, Stacey Spencer, Dillon Howard, and six step-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Greg is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Ann Bailey Minix, one brother, Alvin Minix, two sisters-in-law, Rhonda Minix, and Margaret Minix.
Greg was a faithful Pastor of the Big Half Mountain Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 31, 2025 from the Salyersville First Baptist Church with Randall Short, Joe Carroll, and Neil Carty officiating. Burial will follow in the Lessie Minix and Warnie Bailey Cemetery at Bee Tree, Kentucky. Friends may visit the church Friday, May 30, 2025 after 6:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
