Gregoria Aviles Mondragon, 56, of Houston, TX, died on November 3rd, 2025, surrounded by family members and loved ones.
She was born in Paso de Nicolas Romero, Michoacan, Mexico on February 11, 1969 to Braulio and Domitila Aviles.
She married Abraham Mondragon on January 24th, 1986 at La Polilla. They moved to the Houston area in 1990, later buying a home where they raised their five children.
Known for her strong work ethic, she worked several jobs throughout her life to support her siblings and later her children. Of those jobs, the one she loved the most was the one she had last: grandma, spending the days caring for and helping to raise the grandchildren she always wanted.
Gregoria enjoyed hosting dinners every Friday night with her family members, spending time outdoors, fishing, watching soccer and Astros games.
Gregoria was preceded in death by her father Braulio Aviles. She is survived by her family: her husband Abraham Mondragon and their five children, Yuri (Justin), Alfonso (Mariana), Marco, Eli, Laura and three grandchildren Samuel, Daniel, and Emmanuel; her mother Domitila; her siblings: Pedro, Tomasa, Heron, Antonio, Maribel, Ines, Jacinta, Marta, Arturo; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral service is November 7th, 2025 11:30 AM at Cypress Creek Funeral Home and Crematory, and the burial is November 7th, 2025 3:00 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
