Gregory Abasolo

Greg Abasolo, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on March 6, 2025. Born on December 19, 1957, Greg was a lifelong resident of Wellington, Kansas, where he left an indelible mark on the community through his dedicated and compassionate spirit. A man of profound character, Greg was well known and well respected for his extensive work within the community. His spirited and supportive nature made him a beacon of light to those who knew him.
An avid artist and music lover, Greg enjoyed spending his free time painting alongside his grandchildren to the tunes of his vast record collection. His children and grandchildren were the center of his world, his ultimate joy. Greg's family-oriented lifestyle was a testament to his unwavering love for his loved ones. He was a man who would extend a helping hand to others without expecting anything in return, a testament to his selfless character.
Greg is survived by his children, Abbie and Jesse Abasolo; his grandchildren, Kaden, Lucas, Zoie, and Jensen Abasolo; his siblings, Cecelia Newman, Eloisa (Wes) Bennett, Andy (Shelia) Abasolo, Amelia (John) Austin, Connie Sayler, and Cathy (Kurt) Richardson; and their respective partners. His life will also be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus J. and Mary Ruth Abasolo; siblings, Carmen Harshfield, Jana Abasolo, and John Abasolo.
Services for Greg will be held at Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1030 Mission Road, Wellington, Kansas, 67152. A Rosary service will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at 6:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 10:00 am.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Greg's memory. Donations may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
