Gregory “AJ” Allen Ferguson Jr., 26, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, July 26, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born February 7, 1998, to Greg Sr. and Jana Ferguson. AJ graduated in the class of 2016 from Apollo High School and was currently employed at Drakes. He was lovingly known as “Jerome” by some of his previous coworkers and friends, and was a man of his own. AJ enjoyed tinkering on things, slinging drinks as a bartender and was always there to lend a helping hand. In his free time, AJ enjoyed hunting, fishing, sitting around a campfire and being outdoors. He never missed a chance to spend time with his niece, Lynden, or to cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, John “Jay” Ferguson and Larry “Jinks” Sosh.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Jana Ferguson (Randy); father, Greg Ferguson (April); sisters, Jordan Ferguson and Ariel Ferguson; brother, Trevor Ferguson; grandmothers, Janice Settle and Kathy Hall (Bravil); niece, Lynden Ferguson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 1, from 2 PM until 7 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
