Stewart John Ferguson, Jr. of Melrose Park, Illinois passed away on May 4, 2023 in El Paso, Texas
Stewart was born October 1, 1937 in Melrose Park, Illinois. He married Yasuko Miyagi Ferguson on November 30, 1960 in Okinawa, Japan. He retired from the U.S. Army after serving honorably for 22 years and was awarded National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Air Force Good Conduct (2nd Award) Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal (5th Award) and Meritorious Medal
Stewart is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Yasuko Ferguson. Stewart is survived by his only sister Gail Ferguson
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
