1963 - 2025

Gregory "Greg" Lynn Baethge, of Harper, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the age of 61 years.

Gregory "Greg" Lynn Baethge was born on March 14, 1963 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Marion Carl and Emily Crenwelge Baethge.

Greg is survived by two daughters: Chassity Jost of Fredericksburg

Morgan and Ashton Rogers of Comfort

Grandson: Chase Jost of Fredericksburg

Mother: Emily, Mrs. Marion Baethge of Fredericksburg

One sister and three brothers and spouses:

Stephen and Kim Baethge of Fredericksburg

Kenneth and Denise Baethge pf Fredericksburg,

Dennis and Debbie Baethge of Fredericksburg,

Janice and Garrett Durst of Harper

Greg is preceded in death by his father: Marion Carl Baethge

Greg was a hardworking man who brought joy to everyone he encountered. He was known to never meet a stranger. Greg cherished the great outdoors and found happiness in hunting and checking on his cattle. He was deeply involved in raising show pigs and loved to share that passion with others. Greg enjoyed spending time playing cards, dominoes, cornhole, and bowling and was known to be good at everything he tried. He was always ready with a new joke. With a contagious smile and an unwavering spirit of kindness, Greg consistently went the extra mile to uplift those around him, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

The family greeted friends on Wednesday, January 22, in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home, Fredericksburg from 4 to 6 p.m., with a Rosary Service at 5 p.m.

Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, January 23, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fredericksburg.

Graveside services and interment followed in the Nixon Cemetery in the Squaw Creek Community.
