Gregory Eugene Brant, 75, entered his eternal rest on September 16, 2025. He was born on August 27, 1950, in Somerset, Pennsylvania, to Wilmer Eugene Brant and Marjorie Viola Brant, who preceded him in death.Gregg faithfully served as a pastor and shepherd to congregations in Crestview, Florida; Marco Island, Florida; Windber, Pennsylvania; Bedico, Louisiana; Yulee, Florida; Port Inglis, Florida; Christmas, Florida; Haines City, Florida; Lady Lake, Florida; and Wimauma, Florida. He was a Bishop in the Church of God, a devoted member of Boyette Springs Church of God, and earned his Master's Degree in Bible Theology from the International Bible Seminary. He is survived by his loving wife, Clintene Conner Brant; his daughters Amber Parnell (Michael), Dr. Gwinnell Brant, and Priscilla Gomes-Brant (Jason); his grandchildren Nicholas Parnell, Jared Brant (Erica McMahan), and Kailani Gomes; his great-granddaughter Nova Brant; his sister Shelva Lape (Ed); his nephew Steve Lape; and his niece Holly Schrock.A public viewing will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Wimauma Community Church, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4:00 p.m.Gregg's life was a testament to the Gospel he preached. He lived with a sweet and gentle spirit, extending kindness to all who cared for him, even in his suffering. Much like Christ, he bore his final days with grace and dignity. His last breaths were taken during a prayer, with the words ringing out: "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" He was, until the end, an example of Christ-faithful, steadfast, and filled with love.
