Gregory Brisboy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brigham Funeral Chapel - Edmore on Feb. 12, 2026.
Gregory Alan Brisboy, age 59, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 8, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply.

Greg was a Master Plasterer with OPCMIA Local 514, proudly serving for nearly 30 years. He was widely respected for his exceptional craftsmanship and dedication to the trade. His work spanned both large and small-scale projects, including historical restoration at the Michigan State Capitol, Michigan State University, the Port Austin Lighthouse, and the Utah State Capitol.

Greg was a devoted family man and lifelong lover of music. Growing up in a close-knit family, he carried that sense of connection into every part of his life. He will forever be remembered for his great sense of humor, quick wit, unforgettable personality, and (depending on who you ask) his questionable singing voice. He had a natural gift for conversation and could strike up a chat with absolutely anyone, whether a lifelong friend or a stranger he had just met. His laughter, stories, and warmth made people feel instantly at ease, and he had a way of brightening every room he entered.

Greg belonged to a big, loving family who will miss him more than words can express. His presence and humor were a constant source of comfort and joy. Greg's memory will live on in the stories we will be telling loudly, repeatedly, and probably with a few details added for dramatic effect – just the way he liked it.

Greg is survived his children, Chelsea, Jesse, and Jamey; his parents, Ruth and Thad; his siblings, Thad, Justin, Laura (Corey) Yuncker, Jennifer (Bob) Powell, and Janelle (Aaron) Curcio; multiple adoring nieces and nephews (who are convinced they were his favorites); and his fiancée, Capri McDuffie.

A celebration of Greg's life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM in Vestaburg, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Elder Danny Hernandez officiating. Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Janowicz Family Funeral Home of Edmore.
