Gregory S. Caperna

Gregory S. Caperna, 53, of Hamilton Square, NJ, passed away suddenly at home on September 18, 2024. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 2, 1971 to John and Mary Kathleen Caperna of Ocean Isle Beach, NC.
Greg began his career when he was 15 years old at Hamilton Township Parks and Recreation. He then studied Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design at Delaware Valley University. He became a skilled landscaper and horticulturist, then followed in his grandfather's footsteps and became a self-taught mason. He most recently served as the mason at the College of New Jersey since 2005.
An avid fisherman, Greg also enjoyed skiing, kayaking, canoeing and picking steamed crabs. Most of all he was an adamant love of life and of those dear to him. His kindness and infectious smile will be deeply missed and his memory will forever live in the hearts of his family and the many friends whose lives he touched.
Along with his parents, Greg is survived by his sister, Julie Caperna and his beloved niece, Caroline Louisa also of Ocean Isle; his sister, Katie Caperna, of Hamilton, NJ; and his two nephews, Jack Caperna and Christian Papp. He is preceded in the next life by his loving grandparents, Auntie, and his three Shelties.
Family and friends may pay their final respects to Greg on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 3:30 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. (Please know Greg's Family will not be present at this time.)
Cremation will be private.
