Gregory "Jerry" Wayne Clay, age 68, of Henderson, KY, passed away on January 17, 2026, at Henderson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Jerry grew up working on the farm alongside his father and brothers in Henderson County. He was a hard worker through the years and most recently he worked with his brother in the landscaping business. Jerry was known as one of the blues brothers and loved Elvis Presley's music. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Anna D. Clay, son Anthony Marshall, and his siblings: Raymond Clay, Jr., Ricky Clay, Charles Clay, Connie Clay, and Cecilia Clay; grandson Stephen Haught.

Jerry is survived by his daughter Kelly Marshall of Utica, KY; sons: Nicholas Marshall (Melonie) of Jeffersonville IN., Chad Marshall (Sara) and Jermaine Marshall of Evansville IN.; sisters Linda Dixon of Madisonville, KY and Cecil Clay of Evansville, IN; brothers Roy Clay of Evansville, IN and Marvin Clay (Charlotte) of Henderson, KY; many grandchildren, one great granddaughter, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jerry's Life Celebration from 12:00 p.m. until the service time on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Benton- Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home in Henderson, KY. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
