Gregory Conway Obituary
Gregory C. Conway, 69 of Silver Bay died Thursday, March 12, 2026 at his home.
He was born in Frankfurt, Germany to SGT William and Edna (Swartz) Conway during one of his father’s deployments. Greg grew up and attended William Kelley high school.Employed by Louisiana Pacific for 36 years unloading logs, heavy equipment operator, and yard maintenance until his retirement in 2022.
Greg enjoyed snowmobiling, working outside, playing with his grand kids, fishing, hunting, baseball(Finland Mudsharks), cruising the cramer road,& having a ice cold frosty mug of Schmidt.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jayne (Goette)in 2015; father and mother William and Edna Conway; mother and father-in-law Millie and Clarence Goette; nephews Cole Goette,Beau Buckwalter; and brother-in-law Danny Buckwalter.
Greg is survived by his daughter, Molly Conway; 2 grandsons, Agustus and Griffyn Conway-Williams; brothers Jeff (Shari) Conway, Tim Conway, Terrie (Phyllis) Gouza; and many nieces and nephews.
His celebration of life will be held at the Claire Nelson Center Finland, MN March 21st 2026 from 1200pm-300pm.
